NY for NY...

We have booked our hotel in New York for new year! Not totally sure if we are actually going to go yet but the hotel was getting very full so we thought we should at least book that. It was either go for Christmas or new year and I find being away at Christmas a bit strange. We are definately going back again to the big old city that we have fallen in love with, it just depends when...

Living it up!...

Well I've had a great day today! The new July issue of Livingetc landed on my doorstep and their were a couple of familiar items in there! In the first pic above are two of my sister's handmade grey felt cushions and in the second pic there is one of my "I want to rock with you" prints.....we are both ecstatic!!! Both were bought by Helen a member of the Livinetc forums and her amazingly gorgeous house is featured.I will be posting more pics of her droolsome renovation very soon. Then to top it all off my flat was chosen as the monthly winner on the Livingetc forum! I recently posted quite a few pics of our flat before we ripped it apart which were horrendous and I think that clinched the deal (I will be posting some very soon). I've won £150 to spend at Habitat thank you very much. All in all a very good day and I'm grinning like a cheshire cat. Well done likklesis and a big thank you to the ever lovely Helen!

I want that cushion!!!!!! Urban Outfitters will be launching a new collection of Alexander Girard printed cushions, bed linens, curtains, and prints amongst other delicious offerings in July! I hope the range will be available here in the UK although we may be going to New York for Christmas so that will be at the top of my shopping list....

Round and round...

I have been painting the spiral staircase which leads up to the loft....OMG it takes forever and it will need 2 coats! Eventually it will be ripped out and replaced with another one but for now we will have to make do with a paint job ( I don't like it and it has seen better days, it actually isn't made that well). The grey paint matches the flooring I'm having very well.

Lofty ideas...

I'm still absolutely loving this green!!! I've been staring at walls in our flat (something I do quite a lot!) wondering where I could use it? Well I may just use it on the wall behind my desk in my loft/studio which I have been painting white this past week. I have also been painting the spiral staircase (which is taking forever!) grey to match the vinyl flooring. Pics of the staircase coming soon...

Colour confidence...

.....apparently it's this years BIG colour trend. So there, you have been told! I do find it slightly annoying when we are dictated to as to what colour we MUST have to be "fashionable"! Have you got "Mimosa" in your home yet? If not then why not? You must have it...NOW! Oh whatever! Saturday morning rant is now over.....deep breath.....

I have invested in a new Epson A1 printer and it arrives later today....I can't wait! Super duperlicious size prints and possibly digital wallpaper coming up!

Happy weekend...

Well we were going to a BBQ at my sister's tomorrow house but judging by the weather I think it may be cancelled! We are going to see the new Star Trek film though so I am very excited to say the least....me a geek. whatever do you mean! I will also be continuing to paint my loft/studio, I'm using a new paint by Dulux called "Absolute White" which contains "Lumitec Formulation" which apparently reflects twice as much light! It certainly is white! Have a great weekend all...
